A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.

somasya dhaaraa pavate nRcakSasa Rtena devaan havate divas pari

When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the priest;

evaa daadhaara te mano jiivaatave na mRtyave .atho ariSTataataye

ye karmaNaH kriyamaaNasya mahna Rtekarmam udajaayanta devaaH

pra Nu tyaM vipram adhvareSu saadhum agniM hotaaram iiLate namobhiH

joSad yad iim asuryaaaa\ sacadhyai viSitastukaa rodasii nRmaNaaH

evaa daadhaara te mano jiivaatave na mRtyave .atho ariSTataataye

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

sasasya yad viyutaa sasminn uudhann Rtasya dhaaman raNayanta devaaH

tRSTaamayaa prathamaM yaatave sajuuH susartvaa rasayaa shvetyaa tyaa

tvaM divo duhitar yaa ha devii puurvahuutau maMhanaa darshataa bhuuH

Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.

tvaM-tvam aharyathaa upastutaH puurvebhir indra harikesha yajvabhiH

yantaM no mitraavaruNaav adhRSTaM chardir yad vaaM varuuthya\M sudaanuu

antarikSe pathibhir iiyamaano na ni vishate katamac canaahaH

He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

aa no devaH savitaa traayamaaNo hiraNyapaaNir yajato jagamyaat

bhuuri naama vandamaano dadhaati pitaa vaso yadi taj joSayaase

Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me.
