And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

upa svainam aramatir vasuuyuH

And sitting down they watched him there;

ye me dhiyam panayanta prashastaam

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.

saasahvaaMsaM yudhaamitraan

tvaaM devaaso amRtaaya kam papuH

The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.

And when Moses heard that, he was content.

Παλλὰς Ἀθηναίη ὑπὸ Πηλεΐδαο βίηφιν.

οὐλομένην, ἣ μυρίʼ Ἀχαιοῖς ἄλγεʼ ἔθηκε,

وَاتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِيَكُونُوا لَهُمْ عِزًّا

הֲתִתֵּ֣ן לַסּ֣וּס גְּבוּרָ֑ה הֲתַלְבִּ֖ישׁ צַוָּאר֣וֹ רַעְמָֽה׃

ἐν δʼ ἀγέλην ποίησε βοῶν ὀρθοκραιράων·

ἀλλʼ ὅτε δή ῥʼ ἐκ τοῖο δυωδεκάτη γένετʼ ἠώς,

וַיֵּֽצְא֛וּ כָּל־ עֲדַ֥ת בְּנֽ͏ֵי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִלִּפְנֵ֥י מֹשֶֽׁה׃

στήθεα πεπλήγοντο, Θέτις δʼ ἐξῆρχε γόοιο·

לְיַד־ שְׁעָרִ֥ים לְפִי־ קָ֑רֶת מְב֖וֹא פְתָחִ֣ים תָּרֹֽנָּה׃

πρῶτος Πηνέλεως Βοιώτιος ἦρχε φόβοιο.

וּבְלִיַּ֕עַל כְּק֥וֹץ מֻנָ֖ד כֻּלָּ֑הַם כִּֽי־ לֹ֥א בְיָ֖ד יִקָּֽחוּ׃
