aa pavamaana no bharaaryo adaashuSo gayam

raaye no vishvaa supathaa kRNotu vajrii

And the LORD spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying,

aapathayo vipathayo .antaspathaa anupathaaH

yaH soma sakhye tava raaraNad deva martyaH

agniM duutam puro dadhe havyavaaham upa bruve

The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;

pra te sotaara oNyo\ rasam madaaya ghRSvaye

And the sons of Jether; Jephunneh, and Pispah, and Ara.

yo atya iva mRjyate gobhir madaaya haryataH

My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

eSa suuryeNa haasate pavamaano adhi dyavi

ya udaanaD vyayanaM ya udaanaT paraayaNam

pariime gaam aneSata pary agnim ahRSata

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

agninaa rayim ashnavat poSam eva dive -dive

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,

agne viihi puroLaasham aahutaM tiroahnyam

O how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
