vaata aa vaatu bheSajaM shambhu mayobhu no hRde

agniM tam manye yo vasur astaM yaM yanti dhenavaH

Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;

ya u shriyaa dameSv aa doSoSasi prashasyate

shivo duuto vivasvato nabhantaam anyake same

abhuud u bhaa u aMshave hiraNyam prati suuryaH

yat te apo yad oSadhiir mano jagaama duurakam

aa vRSasva mahaamaha mahe nRtama raadhase

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

pra pavamaana dhanvasi somendraaya paatave

And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

yo rayivo rayiMtamo yo dyumnair dyumnavattamaH

shucii te cakre yaatyaa vyaano akSa aahataH

nemadhitaa na pauMsyaa vRtheva viSTaantaa

How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
