yaH parasyaaH paraavatas tiro dhanvaatirocate

asmabhyaM nRmNam aa bharaasmabhyaM nRmaNasyase

tapo ye cakrire mahas taaMsh cid evaapi gachataat

aa naH somam pavitra aa sRjataa madhumattamam

abhi suvaanaasa indavo vRSTayaH pRthiviim iva

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

aa no naavaa matiinaaM yaatam paaraaya gantave

kas tam indra tvaavasum aa martyo dadharSati

ete vaam abhy a\sRkSata tiraH pavitram aashavaH

shashvantaM hi pracetasaH pratiyantaM cid enasaH

tam indraM vaajayaamasi mahe vRtraaya hantave

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

sa pavitre vicakSaNo harir arSati dharNasiH

yebhis tisraH paraavato divo vishvaani rocanaa

My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.

tam iiM hinvanty agruvo dhamanti baakuraM dRtim

pari te jigyuSo yathaa dhaaraa sutasya dhaavati

vayaM gha tvaa sutaavanta aapo na vRktabarhiSaH
