aa tvaa vishantv aashavaH somaasa indra girvaNaH

raayas puurdhi svadhaavo .asti hi \!\ te .agne deveSv aapyam

tvaM hi shashvatiinaam indra dartaa puraam asi

uta vaam uSaso budhi saakaM suuryasya rashmibhiH

And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence.

Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

manuSvat tvaa ni dhiimahi manuSvat sam idhiimahi

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

hataa indrasya shatravaH sarve budbudayaashavaH

yadi stomam mama shravad asmaakam indram indavaH

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

dasha rathaan praSTimataH shataM gaa atharvabhyaH

chindhi vaTuuriNaa padaa mahaavaTuuriNaa padaa

agnii rakSaaMsi sedhati shukrashocir amartyaH

nimeghamaano maghavan dive -diva ojiSThaM dadhiSe sahaH

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

yadaa suuryam amuM divi shukraM jyotir adhaarayaH

And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house.

pitRRn tapasvato yama taaMsh cid evaapi gachataat

But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

tiivraaH somaasa aa gahi sutaaso maadayiSNavaH

Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
