And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:

anarvaaNo abhi ye cakSate no .apiivRtaa aporNuvanto asthuH

Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

sajoSasaa uSasaa suuryeNa corjaM no dhattam ashvinaa

aa tuu na indra kSumantaM citraM graabhaM saM gRbhaaya

sva\rpatiM yad iiM vRdhe dhRtavrato hy ojasaa sam uutibhiH

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages:

And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;

And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

eved ete prati maa rocamaanaa anedyaH shrava eSo dadhaanaaH

pra yo nanakSe abhy ojasaa kriviM vadhaiH shuSNaM nighoSayan

He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.

indrash cid ghaa tad abraviit striyaa ashaasyam manaH
