hiraNyanirNig ayo asya sthuuNaa vi bhraajate divy a\shvaajaniiva

shuciM nu stomaM navajaatam adyendraagnii vRtrahaNaa juSethaam

uktha -ukthe soma indram mamaada niithe -niithe maghavaanaM sutaasaH

tvaM naH pashcaad adharaad uttaraat pura indra ni paahi vishvataH

ati vishvaani duritaa raajaanash carSaNiinaam ati dviSaH

aMseSv aa marutaH khaadayo vo vakSassu rukmaa upashishriyaaNaaH

yo vaam ashvinaa manaso javiiyaan rathaH svashvo visha aajigaati

vidvaaMsaH padaa guhyaani kartana yena devaaso amRtatvam aanashuH

uto hi vaaM ratnadheyaani santi puruuNi dyaavaapRthivii sudaase

So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

aajituraM satpatiM vishvacarSaNiM kRdhi prajaasv aabhagam

pra viirye\Na devataati cekite vishvasmaa ugraH karmaNe purohitaH

bodhaa me asya vacaso yaviSTha maMhiSThasya prabhRtasya svadhaavaH

The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

sa vaajinam maghavadbhyo dadhaati vi saataye tanva\m maamRjiita

manojavebhir iSiraiH shayadhyai pari vyathir daashuSo martyasya

tad RbhavaH pariSiktaM va etat sam madebhir indriyebhiH pibadhvam

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
