raajaa sindhuunaam avasiSTa vaasa Rtasya naavam aaruhad rajiSThaam

yatraa vo didyud radati krivirdatii riNaati pashvaH sudhiteva barhaNaa

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

aavad indraM yamunaa tRtsavash ca praatra bhedaM sarvataataa muSaayat

And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

ahir na juurNaam ati sarpati tvacam atyo na kriiLann asarad vRSaa hariH

Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

asmaakam brahma pRtanaasu jinvataM vayaM dhanaa shuurasaataa bhajemahi

paaviiravii kanyaaaa\ citraayuH sarasvatii viirapatnii dhiyaM dhaat

asya kratvaa samidhaanasya majmanaa pra dyaavaa shociH pRthivii arocayat

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
