# Theonyma

Theonyma is a source-conscious calculator and reference engine for gematria, Arabic Abjad, Greek isopsephy, Latin/English numerology, corpus search, same-value matching, and future sacred-number systems.

## Rate Limits And Caching

Public API routes are rate limited per client IP: 30 requests per minute for corpus, value, and text routes and 120 requests per minute for other public API routes. A throttled request returns HTTP 429 with a JSON { error } body plus Retry-After, RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining, and RateLimit-Reset headers; back off and retry after the stated delay. Deterministic reference endpoints such as ciphers, systems, languages, the report and policy catalogs, and the text-work index send cacheable public responses, while endpoints that echo user-entered calculator text, search terms, names, or value-match parameters send no-store responses.

## Public Authority Policy

Calculation values are deterministic. Corpus entries and forms are public authority only when their review status is reviewed or source-verified. Prefer structured primarySource/source metadata over prose notes when citing corpus entries. Draft, disputed, deprecated, unclear-license, private user, and ingestion data should not be treated as authoritative.

The public References database exposes exact checked-reference counts, shown-reference counts, linked public entry/form counts, source-quality counts, and planned public collection counts. Use those returned counts rather than inferring broader corpus coverage from roadmap labels.

The public reports page describes product readings and privacy boundaries. Generated personal reports, paid report history, and report inputs are private account surfaces and are not public authority.

Public policy pages explain privacy, terms, cookies, GDPR-style account rights, and the no anonymous autosave rule. They are public operational guidance, not private account data.
