וְאֶזְרָעֵם֙ בָּֽעַמִּ֔ים וּבַמֶּרְחַקִּ֖ים יִזְכְּר֑וּנִי וְחָי֥וּ אֶת־ בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם וָשָֽׁבוּ׃
כְּרָמִ֥ים תִּטַּ֖ע וְעָבָ֑דְתָּ וְיַ֤יִן לֹֽא־ תִשְׁתֶּה֙ וְלֹ֣א תֶאֱגֹ֔ר כִּ֥י תֹאכְלֶ֖נּוּ הַתֹּלָֽעַת׃
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שַׁלְּחֵ֔נִי כִּ֥י עָלָ֖ה הַשָּׁ֑חַר וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לֹ֣א אֲשַֽׁלֵּחֲךָ֔ כִּ֖י אִם־ בֵּרַכְתָּֽנִי׃
וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ עָנִ֣י וְאֶבְיוֹן֮ אֲדֹנָ֢י יַחֲשָׁ֫ב לִ֥י עֶזְרָתִ֣י וּמְפַלְטִ֣י אַ֑תָּה אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אַל־ תְּאַחַֽר׃
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֹגָ֖ה מִן־ הַֽמְסִלָּ֑ה עָבַ֤ר כָּל־ אִישׁ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י יוֹאָ֔ב לִרְדֹּ֕ף אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־ בִּכְרִֽי׃
וְרָחֲצ֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן וּבָנָ֑יו אֶת־ יְדֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶת־ רַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃
וּמִכַּ֤ף מֶֽלֶךְ־ אַשּׁוּר֙ אַצִּ֣ילְךָ֔ וְאֵ֖ת הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את וְגַנּוֹתִ֖י עַל־ הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃
וְהַצְּעִירָ֤ה גַם־ הִוא֙ יָ֣לְדָה בֵּ֔ן וַתִּקְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ בֶּן־ עַמִּ֑י ה֛וּא אֲבִ֥י בְנֵֽי־ עַמּ֖וֹן עַד־ הַיּֽוֹם׃
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

sadyo jaata oSadhiibhir vavakSe yadii vardhanti prasvo\ ghRtena
eSa va stomo maruto namasvaan hRdaa taSTo manasaa dhaayi devaaH
mRgaa iva hastinaH khaadathaa vanaa yad aaruNiiSu taviSiir ayugdhvam
kva\ syaa vo marutaH svadhaasiid yan maam ekaM samadhattaahihatye
vRSaa vo aMshur na kilaa riSaathaneLaavantaH sadam it sthanaashitaaH
ayaM yaH puro vibhinatty ojasaa mandaanaH shipry andhasaH
ugraM yuyujma pRtanaasu saasahim RNakaatim adaabhyam
tvad vaajii vaajambharo vihaayaa abhiSTikRj jaayate satyashuSmaH
vidmaa hi tvaa harivaH pRtsu saasahim adhRSTaM cid dadhRSvaNim
jaayeva patya ushatii suvaasaa uSaa hasreva ni riNiite apsaH
sa yakSad vishvaa vayunaani vidvaan pra havyam agnir amRteSu vocat
tvaM cin naH shamyaa agne asyaa Rtasya bodhy Rtacit svaadhiiH
ka iiM stavat kaH pRNaat ko yajaate yad ugram in maghavaa vishvahaavet
atiidaM vishvam bhuvanaM vavakSithaashatrur indra januSaa sanaad asi
indro mahnaa mahato arNavasya vi muurdhaanam abhinad arbudasya
adabdhaa sindhur apasaam apastamaashvaa na citraa vapuSiiva darshataa
devaaso manyuM daasasya shcamnan te na aa vakSan suvitaaya varNam
sa yaamann aa maghavaa martyaaya brahmaNyate suSvaye varivo dhaat
yuvaM hi stho rayidau no rayiiNaaM daatraM rakSethe akavair adabdhaa
uSaa apa svasus tamaH saM vartayati vartaniM sujaatataa
sa vaajaM yaataapaduSpadaa yan sva\rSaataa pari Sadat saniSyan
νηυσὶν ἔπι γλαφυρῇσιν ἐγὼ μετόπισθε λελείμμην,
ῥῖψʼ ἐπιδινήσας βόσιν ἰχθύσιν· αὐτὰρ Ἀχιλλεὺς
τούτῳ δὲ πρόμον ἄλλον ἀναστήσουσιν Ἀχαιοί.
νηυσὶν ἔπι γλαφυρῇσιν ἐελμένοι ἰσχανόωντο
στῆσαν ἄρʼ ἡμιόνους τε καὶ ἵππους ὄφρα πίοιεν
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَى وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنَّ النَّاسَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
