וּזְכַרְתֶּם֙ אֶת־ דַּרְכֵיכֶ֣ם הָרָעִ֔ים וּמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־ טוֹבִ֑ים וּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙ בִּפְנֵיכֶ֔ם עַ֚ל עֲוֺנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְעַ֖ל תּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
וּמִבְּנֵי֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לֹֽא־ נָתַ֥ן שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה עָ֑בֶד כִּי־ הֵ֞ם אַנְשֵׁ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה וַעֲבָדָיו֙ וְשָׂרָ֣יו וְשָׁלִשָׁ֔יו וְשָׂרֵ֥י רִכְבּ֖וֹ וּפָרָשָֽׁיו׃
כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה הַכֵּ֨ה בְכַפְּךָ֜ וּרְקַ֤ע בְּרַגְלְךָ֙ וֶֽאֱמָר־ אָ֔ח אֶ֛ל כָּל־ תּוֹעֲב֥וֹת רָע֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲשֶׁ֗ר בַּחֶ֛רֶב בָּרָעָ֥ב וּבַדֶּ֖בֶר יִפֹּֽלוּ׃
וַיְהִ֞י בְּבֹ֨א דָוִ֧ד וַאֲנָשָׁ֛יו צִֽקְלַ֖ג בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑י וַעֲמָלֵקִ֣י פָֽשְׁט֗וּ אֶל־ נֶ֙גֶב֙ וְאֶל־ צִ֣קְלַ֔ג וַיַּכּוּ֙ אֶת־ צִ֣קְלַ֔ג וַיִּשְׂרְפ֥וּ אֹתָ֖הּ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
וַיָּ֨שָׁב יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ בָּעֵ֤ת הַהִיא֙ וַיִּלְכֹּ֣ד אֶת־ חָצ֔וֹר וְאֶת־ מַלְכָּ֖הּ הִכָּ֣ה בֶחָ֑רֶב כִּֽי־ חָצ֣וֹר לְפָנִ֔ים הִ֕יא רֹ֖אשׁ כָּל־ הַמַּמְלָכ֥וֹת הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
