This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
ka u nu te mahimanaH samasyaasmat puurva RSayo .antam aapuH
aa na stuta upa vaajebhir uutii indra yaahi haribhir mandasaanaH
στρεφθεὶς ἐξαπίνης, ὅτε μιν κατέμαρπτε διώκων·
Κισσῆς τόν γʼ ἔθρεψε δόμοις ἔνι τυτθὸν ἐόντα
ἀρνύσθην, ἅ τε ποσσὶν ἀέθλια γίγνεται ἀνδρῶν,
وَقَالُوا إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ
فَأَمَّا الْإِنْسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ
وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
