וַיִּקְרָ֤א יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ לְכָל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לִזְקֵנָיו֙ וּלְרָאשָׁ֔יו וּלְשֹׁפְטָ֖יו וּלְשֹֽׁטְרָ֑יו וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם אֲנִ֣י זָקַ֔נְתִּי בָּ֖אתִי בַּיָּמִֽים׃
כִּֽי־ גַם־ נָבִ֥יא גַם־ כֹּהֵ֖ן חָנֵ֑פוּ גַּם־ בְּבֵיתִ֛י מָצָ֥אתִי רָעָתָ֖ם נְאֻם־ יְהוָֽה׃
וּמְפִיבֹ֗שֶׁת יֹשֵׁב֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם כִּ֣י עַל־ שֻׁלְחַ֥ן הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ תָּמִ֖יד ה֣וּא אֹכֵ֑ל וְה֥וּא פִסֵּ֖חַ שְׁתֵּ֥י רַגְלָֽיו׃
And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.
I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
vahiSThebhir viharan yaasi tantum avavyayann asitaM deva vasma
agner aniikam bRhataH saparyaM divi shukraM yajataM suuryasya
tvam asmaakam indra vishvadha syaa avRkatamo naraaM nRpaataa
taM tvaa stomebhir udabhir na vaajinaM devaM devaa ajanan saasy ukthya\H
ἔκτοσθεν δὲ βαθεῖαν ὀρύξομεν ἐγγύθι τάφρον,
ἐν αὐτῷ ζωὴ ἦν, καὶ ἡ ζωὴ ἦν τὸ φῶς τῶν ἀνθρώπων·
وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
