וּבַחַגִּ֣ים וּבַמּוֹעֲדִ֗ים תִּהְיֶ֤ה הַמִּנְחָה֙ אֵיפָ֤ה לַפָּר֙ וְאֵיפָ֣ה לָאַ֔יִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂ֖ים מַתַּ֣ת יָד֑וֹ וְשֶׁ֖מֶן הִ֥ין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
ישבתי יֹשַׁבְתְּ֙ בַּלְּבָנ֔וֹן מקננתי מְקֻנַּ֖נְתְּ בָּֽאֲרָזִ֑ים מַה־ נֵּחַנְתְּ֙ בְּבֹא־ לָ֣ךְ חֲבָלִ֔ים חִ֖יל כַּיֹלֵדָֽה׃
וַיּוֹצִ֨יאוּ אֶת־ אוּרִיָּ֜הוּ מִמִּצְרַ֗יִם וַיְבִאֻ֙הוּ֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִ֔ים וַיַּכֵּ֖הוּ בֶּחָ֑רֶב וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ֙ אֶת־ נִבְלָת֔וֹ אֶל־ קִבְרֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃
וַיִּתְּנ֨וּ עָלָ֥יו גּוֹיִ֛ם סָבִ֖יב מִמְּדִינ֑וֹת וַֽיִּפְרְשׂ֥וּ עָלָ֛יו רִשְׁתָּ֖ם בְּשַׁחְתָּ֥ם נִתְפָּֽשׂ׃
וַיַּ֤עַשׂ מֹשֶׁה֙ נְחַ֣שׁ נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וַיְשִׂמֵ֖הוּ עַל־ הַנֵּ֑ס וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־ נָשַׁ֤ךְ הַנָּחָשׁ֙ אֶת־ אִ֔ישׁ וְהִבִּ֛יט אֶל־ נְחַ֥שׁ הַנְּחֹ֖שֶׁת וָחָֽי׃
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
