וְלַֽעֲמָשָׂא֙ תֹּֽמְר֔וּ הֲל֛וֹא עַצְמִ֥י וּבְשָׂרִ֖י אָ֑תָּה כֹּ֣ה יַֽעֲשֶׂה־ לִּ֤י אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִ֔יף אִם־ לֹ֠א שַׂר־ צָבָ֞א תִּהְיֶ֧ה לְפָנַ֛י כָּל־ הַיָּמִ֖ים תַּ֥חַת יוֹאָֽב׃
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁאוּל֩ אֶל־ נֹשֵׂ֨א כֵלָ֜יו שְׁלֹ֥ף חַרְבְּךָ֣ ׀ וְדָקְרֵ֣נִי בָ֗הּ פֶּן־ יָבֹ֜אוּ הָעֲרֵלִ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ וְהִתְעַלְּלוּ־ בִ֔י וְלֹ֤א אָבָה֙ נֹשֵׂ֣א כֵלָ֔יו כִּ֥י יָרֵ֖א מְאֹ֑ד וַיִּקַּ֤ח שָׁאוּל֙ אֶת־ הַחֶ֔רֶב וַיִּפֹּ֖ל עָלֶֽיהָ׃
Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
