וְעַל־ יְדֵ֣י בְנֵי־ מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה בֵּית־ שְׁאָ֤ן וּבְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ תַּעְנַ֣ךְ וּבְנֹתֶ֔יהָ מְגִדּ֥וֹ וּבְנוֹתֶ֖יהָ דּ֣וֹר וּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ בְּאֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָשְׁב֔וּ בְּנֵ֥י יוֹסֵ֖ף בֶּן־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
וַתֹּאמְר֗וּ הֵ֣ן הֶרְאָ֜נוּ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ אֶת־ כְּבֹד֣וֹ וְאֶת־ גָּדְל֔וֹ וְאֶת־ קֹל֥וֹ שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ מִתּ֣וֹךְ הָאֵ֑שׁ הַיּ֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ רָאִ֔ינוּ כִּֽי־ יְדַבֵּ֧ר אֱלֹהִ֛ים אֶת־ הָֽאָדָ֖ם וָחָֽי׃
Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the LORD hath sent thee away.
And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
