And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,
And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him,
The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;

samaanaM vatsam abhi saMcarantii viSvag dhenuu vi carataH sumeke
ashvaasa eSaam ubhaye yathaa viduH pra parvatasya nabhanuuM+r acucyavuH
yaaH paarthivaaso yaa apaam api vrate taa no deviiH suhavaaH sharma yachata
agnish ca yan maruto vishvavedaso divo vahadhva uttaraad adhi SNubhiH
οὐ γὰρ ὃ θέλω ποιῶ ἀγαθόν, ἀλλὰ ὃ οὐ θέλω κακὸν τοῦτο πράσσω.
Χαλκίδα τʼ Εἰρέτριάν τε πολυστάφυλόν θʼ Ἱστίαιαν
Τρωσὶ φιλοπτολέμοισι μεταπρέπω, ὅ σφιν ἀμύνω
ὁ πατὴρ ἀγαπᾷ τὸν υἱόν, καὶ πάντα δέδωκεν ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ.
ὡς δʼ ὅτε τις στατὸς ἵππος ἀκοστήσας ἐπὶ φάτνῃ
τάφρῳ καὶ σκολόπεσσιν ἐνιπλήξαντες ὀρυκτῇ
إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ
