וְ֠עַתָּה בְּנֵֽי־ יְהוּדָ֤ה וִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹמְרִ֔ים לִכְבֹּ֛שׁ לַעֲבָדִ֥ים וְלִשְׁפָח֖וֹת לָכֶ֑ם הֲלֹ֤א רַק־ אַתֶּם֙ עִמָּכֶ֣ם אֲשָׁמ֔וֹת לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
שׁוֹטְט֞וּ בְּחוּצ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם וּרְאוּ־ נָ֤א וּדְעוּ֙ וּבַקְשׁ֣וּ בִרְחוֹבוֹתֶ֔יהָ אִם־ תִּמְצְא֣וּ אִ֔ישׁ אִם־ יֵ֛שׁ עֹשֶׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט מְבַקֵּ֣שׁ אֱמוּנָ֑ה וְאֶסְלַ֖ח לָֽהּ׃
וַיִּֽחַר־ אַ֤ף בָּלָק֙ אֶל־ בִּלְעָ֔ם וַיִּסְפֹּ֖ק אֶת־ כַּפָּ֑יו וַיֹּ֨אמֶר בָּלָ֜ק אֶל־ בִּלְעָ֗ם לָקֹ֤ב אֹֽיְבַי֙ קְרָאתִ֔יךָ וְהִנֵּה֙ בֵּרַ֣כְתָּ בָרֵ֔ךְ זֶ֖ה שָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִֽים׃
וַיָּ֣קֶם יְהוָ֔ה אֶת־ דְּבָר֖וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּ֑ר וָאָק֡וּם תַּחַת֩ דָּוִ֨יד אָבִ֜י וָאֵשֵׁ֣ב ׀ עַל־ כִּסֵּ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כַּאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה וָאֶבְנֶ֣ה הַבַּ֔יִת לְשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
וְלֹֽא־ הֶאֱמַ֣נְתִּי לַדְּבָרִ֗ים עַ֤ד אֲשֶׁר־ בָּ֙אתִי֙ וַתִּרְאֶ֣ינָה עֵינַ֔י וְהִנֵּ֥ה לֹֽא־ הֻגַּד־ לִ֖י הַחֵ֑צִי הוֹסַ֤פְתָּ חָכְמָה֙ וָט֔וֹב אֶל־ הַשְּׁמוּעָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃
וַיַּ֣ךְ אֶת־ מוֹאָ֗ב וַֽיְמַדְּדֵ֤ם בַּחֶ֙בֶל֙ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ב אוֹתָ֣ם אַ֔רְצָה וַיְמַדֵּ֤ד שְׁנֵֽי־ חֲבָלִים֙ לְהָמִ֔ית וּמְלֹ֥א הַחֶ֖בֶל לְהַחֲי֑וֹת וַתְּהִ֤י מוֹאָב֙ לְדָוִ֔ד לַעֲבָדִ֖ים נֹשְׂאֵ֥י מִנְחָֽה׃
שלש אמות אמ"ש חקקן חצבן צרפן יצר בהן שלש אמות בשנה, ושלש בעולם, ושלש בנפש, זכר ונקבה:
הִנְנִ֣י מֵבִיא֩ עֲלֵיכֶ֨ם גּ֧וֹי מִמֶּרְחָ֛ק בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל נְאֻם־ יְהֹוָ֑ה גּ֣וֹי ׀ אֵיתָ֣ן ה֗וּא גּ֤וֹי מֵעוֹלָם֙ ה֔וּא גּ֚וֹי לֹא־ תֵדַ֣ע לְשֹׁנ֔וֹ וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁמַ֖ע מַה־ יְדַבֵּֽר׃
כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כַּתְּאֵנִ֥ים הַטֹּב֖וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה כֵּֽן־ אַכִּ֞יר אֶת־ גָּל֣וּת יְהוּדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר שִׁלַּ֜חְתִּי מִן־ הַמָּק֥וֹם הַזֶּ֛ה אֶ֥רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֖ים לְטוֹבָֽה׃
וְהִפְלֵיתִי֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא אֶת־ אֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֗שֶׁן אֲשֶׁ֤ר עַמִּי֙ עֹמֵ֣ד עָלֶ֔יהָ לְבִלְתִּ֥י הֱיֽוֹת־ שָׁ֖ם עָרֹ֑ב לְמַ֣עַן תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃
וְכָל־ עַבְדֵ֨י הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־ בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ כֹּרְעִ֤ים וּמִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִים֙ לְהָמָ֔ן כִּי־ כֵ֖ן צִוָּה־ ל֣וֹ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וּמָ֨רְדֳּכַ֔י לֹ֥א יִכְרַ֖ע וְלֹ֥א יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶֽה׃
וַאֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ וְהָרָאשִׁים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עִמּ֔וֹ פָּשְׁט֕וּ וַיַּ֣עַמְד֔וּ פֶּ֖תַח שַׁ֣עַר הָעִ֑יר וּשְׁנֵ֣י הֽ͏ָרָאשִׁ֗ים פָּ֥שְׁט֛וּ עַֽל־ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה וַיַּכּֽוּם׃
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר שְׁמוּאֵ֤ל אֶל־ הָעָם֙ אַל־ תִּירָ֔אוּ אַתֶּ֣ם עֲשִׂיתֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הָרָעָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את אַ֗ךְ אַל־ תָּס֙וּרוּ֙ מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה בְּכָל־ לְבַבְכֶֽם׃
וְהַנֶּ֗פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּפְנֶ֤ה אֶל־ הָֽאֹבֹת֙ וְאֶל־ הַיִּדְּעֹנִ֔ים לִזְנ֖וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־ פָּנַי֙ בַּנֶּ֣פֶשׁ הַהִ֔וא וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י אֹת֖וֹ מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמּֽוֹ׃
For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.
The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;
Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
तुल्यनिन्दास्तुतिर्मौनी सन्तुष्टो येनकेनचित् । अनिकेतः स्थिरमतिर्भक्तिमान्मे प्रियो नरः
ἣν ἐνεκαίνισεν ἡμῖν ὁδὸν πρόσφατον καὶ ζῶσαν διὰ τοῦ καταπετάσματος, τοῦτʼ ἔστιν τῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦ,
μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐν τῷ παραπικρασμῷ, κατὰ τὴν ἡμέραν τοῦ πειρασμοῦ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ,
Ταύτην ἤδη, ἀγαπητοί, δευτέραν ὑμῖν γράφω ἐπιστολήν, ἐν αἷς διεγείρω ὑμῶν ἐν ὑπομνήσει τὴν εἰλικρινῆ διάνοιαν,
(ὅτι οὕτως ἐστὶν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ, ἀγαθοποιοῦντας φιμοῦν τὴν τῶν ἀφρόνων ἀνθρώπων ἀγνωσίαν)·
καὶ ἀρχαίου κόσμου οὐκ ἐφείσατο, ἀλλὰ ὄγδοον Νῶε δικαιοσύνης κήρυκα ἐφύλαξεν, κατακλυσμὸν κόσμῳ ἀσεβῶν ἐπάξας,
ἡ δὲ προβιβασθεῖσα ὑπὸ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτῆς· Δός μοι, φησίν, ὧδε ἐπὶ πίνακι τὴν κεφαλὴν Ἰωάννου τοῦ βαπτιστοῦ.
καὶ ἐπληρώθη ἡ γραφὴ ἡ λέγουσα· Ἐπίστευσεν δὲ Ἀβραὰμ τῷ θεῷ, καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην, καὶ φίλος θεοῦ ἐκλήθη.
