After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.
Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
And Naaman, and Ahiah, and Gera, he removed them, and begat Uzza, and Ahihud.
And after him arose Jair, a Gileadite, and judged Israel twenty and two years.
Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

ἐλπίζω δὲ ὅτι γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἡμεῖς οὐκ ἐσμὲν ἀδόκιμοι.
καί ῥʼ οὓς μὲν σπεύδοντας ἴδοι Δαναῶν ταχυπώλων,
Διὸ μηκέτι στέγοντες εὐδοκήσαμεν καταλειφθῆναι ἐν Ἀθήναις μόνοι,
ὅς ποτε δεῦρʼ ἐλθὼν ἕνεχʼ ἵππων Λαομέδοντος
ὣς φάτο, χήρατο δʼ Ὕπνος, ἀμειβόμενος δὲ προσηύδα·
فَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ إِنَّ هَذَا عَدُوٌّ لَكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَى
أَلَا إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَلَا إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
