And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh;
They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.
The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.
These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
The nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.
I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

havir haviSmo mahi sadma daivyaM nabho vasaanaH pari yaasy adhvaram
ghRtapratiikaM va Rtasya dhuurSadam agnim mitraM na samidhaana R~njate
tam uu shuciM shucayo diidivaaMsam apaaM napaatam pari tasthur aapaH
ἐν κονίῃσι πεσόντος ὑφʼ Ἕκτορος ἀνδροφόνοιο.
σὺ οὖν ἐὰν προσκυνήσῃς ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ, ἔσται σοῦ πᾶσα.
Εἰσῆλθεν δὲ διαλογισμὸς ἐν αὐτοῖς, τὸ τίς ἂν εἴη μείζων αὐτῶν.
νόσφιν ἐφʼ ἱπποπόλων Θρῃκῶν καθορώμενος αἶαν
καὶ ⸀προσκαλεσάμενος παιδίον ἔστησεν αὐτὸ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν
προφρονέως ῥύοισθε φιλοπτολέμων ὑπʼ Ἀχαιῶν.
καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ εἴληφεν ἐκ τῆς δεξιᾶς τοῦ καθημένου ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου.
وَمَا أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّي إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
قَالَ كَذَلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِنَّا وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَقْضِيًّا
وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْآخِرَةَ وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُمْ مَشْكُورًا
