וַיְמַן֩ לָהֶ֨ם הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ דְּבַר־ י֣וֹם בְּיוֹמ֗וֹ מִפַּת־ בַּ֤ג הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וּמִיֵּ֣ין מִשְׁתָּ֔יו וּֽלְגַדְּלָ֖ם שָׁנִ֣ים שָׁל֑וֹשׁ וּמִ֨קְצָתָ֔ם יַֽעַמְד֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֥ב אַמְנ֖וֹן וַיִּתְחָ֑ל וַיָּבֹ֨א הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ לִרְאֹת֗וֹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַמְנ֤וֹן אֶל־ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ תָּֽבוֹא־ נָ֞א תָּמָ֣ר אֲחֹתִ֗י וּתְלַבֵּ֤ב לְעֵינַי֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י לְבִב֔וֹת וְאֶבְרֶ֖ה מִיָּדָֽהּ׃
אַל־ תְּבַהֵ֨ל עַל־ פִּ֜יךָ וְלִבְּךָ֧ אַל־ יְמַהֵ֛ר לְהוֹצִ֥יא דָבָ֖ר לִפְנֵ֣י הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים כִּ֣י הָאֱלֹהִ֤ים בַּשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ וְאַתָּ֣ה עַל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ עַֽל־ כֵּ֛ן יִהְי֥וּ דְבָרֶ֖יךָ מְעַטִּֽים׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה פְּסָל־ לְךָ֛ שְׁנֵֽי־ לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִ֖ים כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑ים וְכָתַבְתִּי֙ עַל־ הַלֻּחֹ֔ת אֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֛וּ עַל־ הַלֻּחֹ֥ת הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר שִׁבַּֽרְתָּ׃
וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־ יְבַצַּ֤ע אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ מֽ͏ַעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ בְּהַ֥ר צִיּ֖וֹן וּבִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם אֶפְקֹ֗ד עַל־ פְּרִי־ גֹ֙דֶל֙ לְבַ֣ב מֶֽלֶךְ־ אַשּׁ֔וּר וְעַל־ תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת ר֥וּם עֵינָֽיו׃
וַיְהִ֞י כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־ שָׁמְע֤וּ אוֹיְבֵ֙ינוּ֙ כִּי־ נ֣וֹדַֽע לָ֔נוּ וַיָּ֥פֶר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־ עֲצָתָ֑ם ונשוב וַנָּ֤שָׁב כֻּלָּ֙נוּ֙ אֶל־ הַ֣חוֹמָ֔ה אִ֖ישׁ אֶל־ מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃
וּבְנֵ֨י יַעֲקֹ֜ב בָּ֤אוּ מִן־ הַשָּׂדֶה֙ כְּשָׁמְעָ֔ם וַיִּֽתְעַצְּבוּ֙ הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַיִּ֥חַר לָהֶ֖ם מְאֹ֑ד כִּֽי־ נְבָלָ֞ה עָשָׂ֣ה בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לִשְׁכַּב֙ אֶת־ בַּֽת־ יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְכֵ֖ן לֹ֥א יֵעָשֶֽׂה׃
And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
