אֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה הָי֣וּ יְרֵאִ֑ים וְאֶת־ אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙ הָי֣וּ עֹֽבְדִ֔ים כְּמִשְׁפַּט֙ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־ הִגְל֥וּ אֹתָ֖ם מִשָּֽׁם׃
וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע דָּוִד֙ מֵאַ֣חֲרֵי כֵ֔ן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר נָקִ֨י אָנֹכִ֧י וּמַמְלַכְתִּ֛י מֵעִ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה עַד־ עוֹלָ֑ם מִדְּמֵ֖י אַבְנֵ֥ר בֶּן־ נֵֽר׃
בְּנֵ֤י יִשָּׂשכָר֙ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔ם תּוֹלָ֕ע מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַתּוֹלָעִ֑י לְפֻוָ֕ה מִשְׁפַּ֖חַת הַפּוּנִֽי׃
וְנִשְׁבַּ֙עְתָּ֙ חַי־ יְהוָ֔ה בֶּאֱמֶ֖ת בְּמְשְׁפָּ֣ט וּבִצְדָקָ֑ה וְהִתְבָּ֥רְכוּ ב֛וֹ גּוֹיִ֖ם וּב֥וֹ יִתְהַלָּֽלוּ׃
וְאַתָּ֤ה בֶן־ אָדָם֙ הִנָּבֵ֣א עַל־ גּ֔וֹג וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה הִנְנִ֤י אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ גּ֔וֹג נְשִׂ֕יא רֹ֖אשׁ מֶ֥שֶׁךְ וְתֻבָֽל׃
שׁ֚וּבוּ בָּנִ֣ים שׁוֹבָבִ֔ים אֶרְפָּ֖ה מְשׁוּבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם הִנְנוּ֙ אָתָ֣נוּ לָ֔ךְ כִּ֥י אַתָּ֖ה יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
וַיִּ֧בֶן שָׁ֣ם מִזְבֵּ֗חַ וַיִּקְרָא֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה וַיֶּט־ שָׁ֖ם אָהֳל֑וֹ וַיִּכְרוּ־ שָׁ֥ם עַבְדֵי־ יִצְחָ֖ק בְּאֵֽר׃
בִּשְׁנַ֣ת אַחַ֗ת לְדָרְיָ֛וֶשׁ בֶּן־ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֖וֹשׁ מִזֶּ֣רַע מָדָ֑י אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָמְלַ֔ךְ עַ֖ל מַלְכ֥וּת כַּשְׂדִּֽים׃
וְעִבְרִ֗ים עָֽבְרוּ֙ אֶת־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן אֶ֥רֶץ גָּ֖ד וְגִלְעָ֑ד וְשָׁאוּל֙ עוֹדֶ֣נּוּ בַגִּלְגָּ֔ל וְכָל־ הָעָ֖ם חָרְד֥וּ אַחֲרָֽיו׃
וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י אֵלָ֖ה וְכָל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֽוֹא־ הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־ רַבָּה֙ לִנְוֵ֣ה גְמַלִּ֔ים וְאֶת־ בְּנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן לְמִרְבַּץ־ צֹ֑אן וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
וְעַתָּ֗ה דְּעִ֤י וּרְאִי֙ מַֽה־ תַּעֲשִׂ֔י כִּֽי־ כָלְתָ֧ה הָרָעָ֛ה אֶל־ אֲדֹנֵ֖ינוּ וְעַ֣ל כָּל־ בֵּית֑וֹ וְהוּא֙ בֶּן־ בְּלִיַּ֔עַל מִדַּבֵּ֖ר אֵלָֽיו׃
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?
