וַֽיהוָה֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם יֵֽרָאֶ֔ה וְיָצָ֥א כַבָּרָ֖ק חִצּ֑וֹ וַֽאדֹנָ֤י יְהֹוִה֙ בַּשּׁוֹפָ֣ר יִתְקָ֔ע וְהָלַ֖ךְ בְּסַעֲר֥וֹת תֵּימָֽן׃
וְלֶאֱלֹ֙הַּ֙ מָֽעֻזִּ֔ים עַל־ כַּנּ֖וֹ יְכַבֵּ֑ד וְלֶאֱל֜וֹהַּ אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹא־ יְדָעֻ֣הוּ אֲבֹתָ֗יו יְכַבֵּ֛ד בְּזָהָ֥ב וּבְכֶ֛סֶף וּבְאֶ֥בֶן יְקָרָ֖ה וּבַחֲמֻדֽוֹת׃
כִּ֤י יִשְׁמְעוּן֙ אֶת־ שִׁמְךָ֣ הַגָּד֔וֹל וְאֶת־ יָֽדְךָ֙ הֽ͏ַחֲזָקָ֔ה וּֽזְרֹעֲךָ֖ הַנְּטוּיָ֑ה וּבָ֥א וְהִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל אֶל־ הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּֽה׃
מִ֤י בָכֶם֙ יְרֵ֣א יְהוָ֔ה שֹׁמֵ֖עַ בְּק֣וֹל עַבְדּ֑וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ הָלַ֣ךְ חֲשֵׁכִ֗ים וְאֵ֥ין נֹ֙גַהּ֙ ל֔וֹ יִבְטַח֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה וְיִשָּׁעֵ֖ן בֵּאלֹהָֽיו׃
וְכִ֣י תַשִּׂ֗יג יַ֣ד גֵּ֤ר וְתוֹשָׁב֙ עִמָּ֔ךְ וּמָ֥ךְ אָחִ֖יךָ עִמּ֑וֹ וְנִמְכַּ֗ר לְגֵ֤ר תּוֹשָׁב֙ עִמָּ֔ךְ א֥וֹ לְעֵ֖קֶר מִשְׁפַּ֥חַת גֵּֽר׃
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ הָאִישׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר כִּלָּ֔נוּ וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּמָּה־ לָ֑נוּ נִשְׁמַ֕דְנוּ מֵֽהִתְיַצֵּ֖ב בְּכָל־ גְּבֻ֥ל יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
וְשׁ֨וֹר וָאַ֜יִל לִשְׁלָמִ֗ים לִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וּמִנְחָ֖ה בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן כִּ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם יְהוָ֖ה נִרְאָ֥ה אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
וְנָפַ֤ל אַשּׁוּר֙ בְּחֶ֣רֶב לֹא־ אִ֔ישׁ וְחֶ֥רֶב לֹֽא־ אָדָ֖ם תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֑נּוּ וְנָ֥ס לוֹ֙ מִפְּנֵי־ חֶ֔רֶב וּבַחוּרָ֖יו לָמַ֥ס יִהְיֽוּ׃
וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא שֹׁ֣רֶשׁ יִשַׁ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר עֹמֵד֙ לְנֵ֣ס עַמִּ֔ים אֵלָ֖יו גּוֹיִ֣ם יִדְרֹ֑שׁוּ וְהָיְתָ֥ה מְנֻחָת֖וֹ כָּבֽוֹד׃
מֵהָע֣וֹף לְמִינֵ֗הוּ וּמִן־ הַבְּהֵמָה֙ לְמִינָ֔הּ מִכֹּ֛ל רֶ֥מֶשׂ הֽ͏ָאֲדָמָ֖ה לְמִינֵ֑הוּ שְׁנַ֧יִם מִכֹּ֛ל יָבֹ֥אוּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ לְהֽ͏ַחֲיֽוֹת׃
וְהַבַּ֙יִת֙ בְּהִבָּ֣נֹת֔וֹ אֶֽבֶן־ שְׁלֵמָ֥ה מַסָּ֖ע נִבְנָ֑ה וּמַקָּב֤וֹת וְהַגַּרְזֶן֙ כָּל־ כְּלִ֣י בַרְזֶ֔ל לֹֽא־ נִשְׁמַ֥ע בַּבַּ֖יִת בְּהִבָּנֹתֽוֹ׃
יַ֛עַן אֲשֶׁר־ הִכְרַ֥תִּי מִמֵּ֖ךְ צַדִּ֣יק וְרָשָׁ֑ע לָ֠כֵן תֵּצֵ֨א חַרְבִּ֧י מִתַּעְרָ֛הּ אֶל־ כָּל־ בָּשָׂ֖ר מִנֶּ֥גֶב צָפֽוֹן׃
וְהִגְבַּלְתָּ֤ אֶת־ הָעָם֙ סָבִ֣יב לֵאמֹ֔ר הִשָּׁמְר֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם עֲל֥וֹת בָּהָ֖ר וּנְגֹ֣עַ בְּקָצֵ֑הוּ כָּל־ הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בָּהָ֖ר מ֥וֹת יוּמָֽת׃
וָאֵ֗פֶן וָֽאֵרֵד֙ מִן־ הָהָ֔ר וָֽאָשִׂם֙ אֶת־ הַלֻּחֹ֔ת בָּאָר֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑יתִי וַיִּ֣הְיוּ שָׁ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוַּ֖נִי יְהוָֽה׃
וְאֶת־ כָּל־ חֶלְבּוֹ֙ יַקְטִ֣יר הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה כְּחֵ֖לֶב זֶ֣בַח הַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים וְכִפֶּ֨ר עָלָ֧יו הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מֵחַטָּאת֖וֹ וְנִסְלַ֥ח לֽוֹ׃
בִּשְׁנַת֙ שְׁתֵּ֣ים עֶשְׂרֵ֔ה לְאָחָ֖ז מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַךְ הוֹשֵׁ֨עַ בֶּן־ אֵלָ֧ה בְשֹׁמְר֛וֹן עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תֵּ֥שַׁע שָׁנִֽים׃
וַ֠תֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁ֤ה הַתְּקֹעִית֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַתִּפֹּ֧ל עַל־ אַפֶּ֛יהָ אַ֖רְצָה וַתִּשְׁתָּ֑חוּ וַתֹּ֖אמֶר הוֹשִׁ֥עָה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
אִם־ אַתֶּם֙ תָּבֹ֣אוּ אֶל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֙אתִי֙ אֶת־ יָדִ֔י לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן אֶתְכֶ֖ם בָּ֑הּ כִּ֚י אִם־ כָּלֵ֣ב בֶּן־ יְפֻנֶּ֔ה וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ בִּן־ נֽוּן׃
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

samidhaanaM suprayasaM sva\rNaraM dyukSaM hotaaraM vRjaneSu dhuurSadam
tubhyaM sutaas tubhyam u sotvaasas tvaaM giraH shvaatryaa aa hvayanti
divo no vRSTim maruto rariidhvam pra pinvata vRSNo ashvasya dhaaraaH
jyotir vishvasmai bhuvanaaya kRNvatii gaavo na vrajaM vy u\Saa aavar tamaH
pra yad vayo na paptan vasmanas pari shravasyavo hRSiivanto vanarSadaH
mitraM na yaM sudhitam bhRgavo dadhur vanaspataav iiDyam uurdhvashociSam
shashvad agnir vadhryashvasya shatruun nRbhir jigaaya sutasomavadbhiH
abhi yaH puurum pRtanaasu tasthau dyutaano daivyo atithiH shushoca
vidyudrathaH sahasas putro agniH shociSkeshaH pRthivyaam paajo ashret
spaarhaM gavaam uudhassu vakSaNaasv aa madhor madhu shvaatryaM somam aashiram
te kriiLayo dhunayo bhraajadRSTayaH svayam mahitvam panayanta dhuutayaH
ἀπεστάλκαμεν οὖν Ἰούδαν καὶ Σιλᾶν, καὶ αὐτοὺς διὰ λόγου ἀπαγγέλλοντας τὰ αὐτά.
Τίμα τὸν πατέρα καὶ τὴν μητέρα, καὶ Ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν.
ἀναστάντες δὲ οἱ νεώτεροι συνέστειλαν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐξενέγκαντες ἔθαψαν.
καὶ πολλοὶ ψευδοπροφῆται ἐγερθήσονται καὶ πλανήσουσιν πολλούς·
