אָז֩ יִבְנֶ֨ה שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה בָּמָ֗ה לִכְמוֹשׁ֙ שִׁקֻּ֣ץ מוֹאָ֔ב בָּהָ֕ר אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וּלְמֹ֕לֶךְ שִׁקֻּ֖ץ בְּנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹן׃
וַיִּ֨חַן שָׁא֜וּל בְּגִבְעַ֣ת הַחֲכִילָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֛ר עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הַיְשִׁימֹ֖ן עַל־ הַדָּ֑רֶךְ וְדָוִד֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר וַיַּ֕רְא כִּ֣י בָ֥א שָׁא֛וּל אַחֲרָ֖יו הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃
אַחֲרָ֧יו הֶחֱזִ֛יק צָד֥וֹק בֶּן־ אִמֵּ֖ר נֶ֣גֶד בֵּית֑וֹ וְאַחֲרָ֤יו הֶחֱזִיק֙ שְׁמַֽעְיָ֣ה בֶן־ שְׁכַנְיָ֔ה שֹׁמֵ֖ר שַׁ֥עַר הַמִּזְרָֽח׃
וְשַׂמְתִּ֙יהָ֙ בְּיַד־ מוֹגַ֔יִךְ אֲשֶׁר־ אָמְר֥וּ לְנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ שְׁחִ֣י וְנַעֲבֹ֑רָה וַתָּשִׂ֤ימִי כָאָ֙רֶץ֙ גֵּוֵ֔ךְ וְכַח֖וּץ לַעֹבְרִֽים׃
שלש אמות אמ"ש בנפש, רא"ש בט"ן וגוי"ה. ראש נברא מאש, בטן ממים, וגויה מרוח מכריע בנתיים:
Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
