רַ֚ק לְשֵׁ֣בֶט הַלֵּוִ֔י לֹ֥א נָתַ֖ן נַחֲלָ֑ה אִשֵּׁ֨י יְהוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ ה֣וּא נַחֲלָת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּר־ לֽוֹ׃
וַתִּקְרָ֣א לַנַּ֗עַר אִֽי־ כָבוֹד֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר גָּלָ֥ה כָב֖וֹד מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֶל־ הִלָּקַח֙ אֲר֣וֹן הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וְאֶל־ חָמִ֖יהָ וְאִישָֽׁהּ׃
וּבִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ יָשְׁב֔וּ מִן־ בְּנֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה וּמִן־ בְּנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ן וּמִן־ בְּנֵ֥י אֶפְרַ֖יִם וּמְנַשֶּֽׁה׃
וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־ יִרְא֤וּ אֹתָךְ֙ הַמִּצְרִ֔ים וְאָמְר֖וּ אִשְׁתּ֣וֹ זֹ֑את וְהָרְג֥וּ אֹתִ֖י וְאֹתָ֥ךְ יְחַיּֽוּ׃
בְּנֵ֣י שַׂלְמָ֗א בֵּ֥ית לֶ֙חֶם֙ וּנְט֣וֹפָתִ֔י עַטְר֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית יוֹאָ֑ב וַחֲצִ֥י הַמָּנַחְתִּ֖י הַצָּרְעִֽי׃
לִשְׁמֹ֞ר אֶת־ מִצְוֺ֤ת יְהוָה֙ וְאֶת־ חֻקֹּתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּ֑וֹם לְט֖וֹב לָֽךְ׃
כְּכֹ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֲנִי֙ מַרְאֶ֣ה אוֹתְךָ֔ אֵ֚ת תַּבְנִ֣ית הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן וְאֵ֖ת תַּבְנִ֣ית כָּל־ כֵּלָ֑יו וְכֵ֖ן תַּעֲשֽׂוּ׃
וַיָּ֛סַר אֶת־ מִזְבְּח֥וֹת הַנֵּכָ֖ר וְהַבָּמ֑וֹת וַיְשַׁבֵּר֙ אֶת־ הַמַּצֵּב֔וֹת וַיְגַדַּ֖ע אֶת־ הָאֲשֵׁרִֽים׃
וְנָשַׁ֕מּוּ בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲרָצ֣וֹת נְשַׁמּ֑וֹת וְעָרָ֕יו בְּתוֹךְ־ עָרִ֥ים נַחֲרָב֖וֹת תִּֽהְיֶֽינָה׃
תְּבַקְשֵׁם֙ וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָאֵ֔ם אַנְשֵׁ֖י מַצֻּתֶ֑ךָ יִהְי֥וּ כְאַ֛יִן וּכְאֶ֖פֶס אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִלְחַמְתֶּֽךָ׃
אֹ֣כֶל בַּכֶּ֤סֶף תַּשְׁבִּרֵ֙נִי֙ וְאָכַ֔לְתִּי וּמַ֛יִם בַּכֶּ֥סֶף תִּתֶּן־ לִ֖י וְשָׁתִ֑יתִי רַ֖ק אֶעְבְּרָ֥ה בְרַגְלָֽי׃
כִּ֤י אֵ֪ין בְּפִ֡יהוּ נְכוֹנָה֮ קִרְבָּ֢ם הַ֫וּ֥וֹת קֶֽבֶר־ פָּת֥וּחַ גְּרוֹנָ֑ם לְ֝שׁוֹנָ֗ם יַחֲלִֽיקוּן׃
The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
