וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֵשָׂ֜ו אֶֽל־ יַעֲקֹ֗ב הַלְעִיטֵ֤נִי נָא֙ מִן־ הָאָדֹ֤ם הָאָדֹם֙ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֥י עָיֵ֖ף אָנֹ֑כִי עַל־ כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא־ שְׁמ֖וֹ אֱדֽוֹם׃
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
