וַיְהִ֗י בִּתְחִלַּת֙ שִׁבְתָּ֣ם שָׁ֔ם לֹ֥א יָרְא֖וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֑ה וַיְשַׁלַּ֨ח יְהוָ֤ה בָּהֶם֙ אֶת־ הָ֣אֲרָי֔וֹת וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ הֹרְגִ֖ים בָּהֶֽם׃
וַ֠יִּזְבַּח אֶת־ כָּל־ כֹּהֲנֵ֨י הַבָּמ֤וֹת אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁם֙ עַל־ הַֽמִּזְבְּח֔וֹת וַיִּשְׂרֹ֛ף אֶת־ עַצְמ֥וֹת אָדָ֖ם עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וַיָּ֖שָׁב יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
כִּֽי־ אַרְמ֣וֹן נֻטָּ֔שׁ הֲמ֥וֹן עִ֖יר עֻזָּ֑ב עֹ֣פֶל וָבַ֜חַן הָיָ֨ה בְעַ֤ד מְעָרוֹת֙ עַד־ עוֹלָ֔ם מְשׂ֥וֹשׂ פְּרָאִ֖ים מִרְעֵ֥ה עֲדָרִֽים׃
אֽוֹ־ מָצָ֧א אֲבֵדָ֛ה וְכִ֥חֶשׁ בָּ֖הּ וְנִשְׁבַּ֣ע עַל־ שָׁ֑קֶר עַל־ אַחַ֗ת מִכֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־ יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה הָאָדָ֖ם לַחֲטֹ֥א בָהֵֽנָּה׃
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם עֵ֧ד יְהוָ֣ה בָּכֶ֗ם וְעֵ֤ד מְשִׁיחוֹ֙ הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֣י לֹ֧א מְצָאתֶ֛ם בְּיָדִ֖י מְא֑וּמָה וַיֹּ֖אמֶר עֵֽד׃
And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

maayaa vaam mitraavaruNaa divi shritaa suuryo jyotish carati citram aayudham
naraa vaa shaMsam puuSaNam agohyam agniM deveddham abhy a\rcase giraa
dhaatur dyutaanaat savitush ca viSNor bharadvaajo bRhad aa cakre agneH
asmabhyaM dyaavaapRthivii sucetunaa rayiM dhattaM vasumantaM shatagvinam
⸀Ἀνέκραγον δὲ παμπληθεὶ λέγοντες· Αἶρε τοῦτον, ἀπόλυσον δὲ ἡμῖν ⸀τὸν Βαραββᾶν·
τὸ δὲ καθίσαι ἐκ δεξιῶν μου ⸀ἢ ἐξ εὐωνύμων οὐκ ἔστιν ἐμὸν δοῦναι, ἀλλʼ οἷς ἡτοίμασται.
καὶ παρετήρουν αὐτὸν εἰ τοῖς σάββασιν θεραπεύσει αὐτόν, ἵνα ⸀κατηγορήσωσιν αὐτοῦ.
