אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֨ה אֶל־ הֵיכַ֪ל קָדְשְׁךָ֡ וְא֘וֹדֶ֤ה אֶת־ שְׁמֶ֗ךָ עַל־ חַסְדְּךָ֥ וְעַל־ אֲמִתֶּ֑ךָ כִּֽי־ הִגְדַּ֥לְתָּ עַל־ כָּל־ שִׁ֝מְךָ֗ אִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃
וְנָתַן֩ בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֤וּא מוֹפֵת֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר זֶ֣ה הַמּוֹפֵ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הִנֵּ֤ה הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ נִקְרָ֔ע וְנִשְׁפַּ֖ךְ הַדֶּ֥שֶׁן אֲשֶׁר־ עָלָֽיו׃
וַיְדַבֵּ֤ר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־ הָעָ֣ם לֵאמֹ֔ר הֵחָלְצ֧וּ מֵאִתְּכֶ֛ם אֲנָשִׁ֖ים לַצָּבָ֑א וְיִהְיוּ֙ עַל־ מִדְיָ֔ן לָתֵ֥ת נִקְמַת־ יְהוָ֖ה בְּמִדְיָֽן׃
וַהֲקִ֨ימוּ כָהֲנַיָּ֜א בִּפְלֻגָּתְה֗וֹן וְלֵוָיֵא֙ בְּמַחְלְקָ֣תְה֔וֹן עַל־ עֲבִידַ֥ת אֱלָהָ֖א דִּ֣י בִירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם כִּכְתָ֖ב סְפַ֥ר מֹשֶֽׁה׃
וַיִּקְרָ֤א שְׁמוּאֵל֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה וַיִּתֵּ֧ן יְהוָ֛ה קֹלֹ֥ת וּמָטָ֖ר בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וַיִּירָ֨א כָל־ הָעָ֥ם מְאֹ֛ד אֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה וְאֶת־ שְׁמוּאֵֽל׃
וְיוֹאָ֗ב שָׁ֚ב מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י אַבְנֵ֔ר וַיִּקְבֹּ֖ץ אֶת־ כָּל־ הָעָ֑ם וַיִּפָּ֨קְד֜וּ מֵעַבְדֵ֥י דָוִ֛ד תִּשְׁעָֽה־ עָשָׂ֥ר אִ֖ישׁ וַעֲשָׂה־ אֵֽל׃
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.

kayaa yaati svadhayaa ko dadarsha diva skambhaH samRtaH paati naakam
pituH pratnasya janmanaa vadaamasi somasya jihvaa pra jigaati cakSasaa
taa aatayo na tanva\H shumbhata svaa ashvaaso na kriiLayo dandashaanaaH
\!\ kayaa yaati svadhayaa ko dadarsha diva skambhaH samRtaH paati naakam \!\
vaishvaanaraaya dhiSaNaam RtaavRdhe ghRtaM na puutam agnaye janaamasi

yat siim anu pra muco badbadhaanaa diirghaam anu prasitiM syandayadhyai
kSatraaya tvam avasi na tvam aavitha shaciipata indra vishvaabhir uutibhiH
ὑμεῖς δὲ λέγετε· Ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ πατρὶ ἢ τῇ μητρί· Δῶρον ὃ ἐὰν ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὠφεληθῇς,
ἤρξατο δὲ λέγειν πρὸς αὐτοὺς ὅτι Σήμερον πεπλήρωται ἡ γραφὴ αὕτη ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν ὑμῶν.
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
