טְה֤וֹר עֵינַ֙יִם֙ מֵרְא֣וֹת רָ֔ע וְהַבִּ֥יט אֶל־ עָמָ֖ל לֹ֣א תוּכָ֑ל לָ֤מָּה תַבִּיט֙ בּֽוֹגְדִ֔ים תַּחֲרִ֕ישׁ בְּבַלַּ֥ע רָשָׁ֖ע צַדִּ֥יק מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
לָכֵ֗ן יֵשְׁב֤וּ צִיִּים֙ אֶת־ אִיִּ֔ים וְיָ֥שְׁבוּ בָ֖הּ בְּנ֣וֹת יַֽעֲנָ֑ה וְלֹֽא־ תֵשֵׁ֥ב עוֹד֙ לָנֶ֔צַח וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁכּ֖וֹן עַד־ דּ֥וֹר וָדֽוֹר׃
הַ֤עַל זֹאת֙ לֹֽא־ תִרְגַּ֣ז הָאָ֔רֶץ וְאָבַ֖ל כָּל־ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בָּ֑הּ וְעָלְתָ֤ה כָאֹר֙ כֻּלָּ֔הּ וְנִגְרְשָׁ֥ה ונשקה וְנִשְׁקְעָ֖ה כִּיא֥וֹר מִצְרָֽיִם׃
וְאַחַ֗ר בָּ֤א חֶצְרוֹן֙ אֶל־ בַּת־ מָכִיר֙ אֲבִ֣י גִלְעָ֔ד וְה֣וּא לְקָחָ֔הּ וְה֖וּא בֶּן־ שִׁשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַתֵּ֥לֶד ל֖וֹ אֶת־ שְׂגֽוּב׃
וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר שָׁא֗וּל אֶל־ יוֹנָתָ֤ן בְּנוֹ֙ וְאֶל־ כָּל־ עֲבָדָ֔יו לְהָמִ֖ית אֶת־ דָּוִ֑ד וִיהֽוֹנָתָן֙ בֶּן־ שָׁא֔וּל חָפֵ֥ץ בְּדָוִ֖ד מְאֹֽד׃
וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ לְכ֣וּ וְנַֽהַרְגֵ֗הוּ וְנַשְׁלִכֵ֙הוּ֙ בְּאַחַ֣ד הַבֹּר֔וֹת וְאָמַ֕רְנוּ חַיָּ֥ה רָעָ֖ה אֲכָלָ֑תְהוּ וְנִרְאֶ֕ה מַה־ יִּהְי֖וּ חֲלֹמֹתָֽיו׃
וַֽיְבַשְּׁל֥וּ הַפֶּ֛סַח בָּאֵ֖שׁ כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וְהַקֳּדָשִׁ֣ים בִּשְּׁל֗וּ בַּסִּיר֤וֹת וּבַדְּוָדִים֙ וּבַצֵּ֣לָח֔וֹת וַיָּרִ֖יצוּ לְכָל־ בְּנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃
Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

yo apaaciine tamasi madantiiH praaciish cakaara nRtamaH shaciibhiH
asya shravo nadya\H sapta bibhrati dyaavaakSaamaa pRthivii darshataM vapuH
apsu drapsaM vaavRdhaanaM samudra aa sindhor uurmaa madhumantam pavitra aa
adhaspadaan ma ud vadata maNDuukaa ivodakaan maNDuukaa udakaad iva
shraavayed asya karNaa vaajayadhyai juSTaam anu pra disham mandayadhyai
kakSiivantaM stotaaraM yaabhir aavataM taabhir uu Su uutibhir ashvinaa gatam
Οὐχ οἷον δὲ ὅτι ἐκπέπτωκεν ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ. οὐ γὰρ πάντες οἱ ἐξ Ἰσραήλ, οὗτοι Ἰσραήλ·
εἰ τὰ ἐπίγεια εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε, πῶς ἐὰν εἴπω ὑμῖν τὰ ἐπουράνια πιστεύσετε;
Εὑρίσκω ἄρα τὸν νόμον τῷ θέλοντι ἐμοὶ ποιεῖν τὸ καλὸν ὅτι ἐμοὶ τὸ κακὸν παράκειται·
يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَوْفُوا بِعَهْدِي أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ
