וַיְהִי֙ קֶ֣צֶף יְהוָ֔ה עַל־ יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיִּתְּנֵ֤ם לזועה לְזַֽעֲוָה֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר אַתֶּ֥ם רֹאִ֖ים בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃
וְיוֹסֵף֙ בֶּן־ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה בְּעָמְד֕וֹ לִפְנֵ֖י פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ מִצְרָ֑יִם וַיֵּצֵ֤א יוֹסֵף֙ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה וַֽיַּעְבֹ֖ר בְּכָל־ אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
וַיַּשְׁכֵּם֩ יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ בַּבֹּ֜קֶר וַיִּסְע֣וּ מֵֽהַשִׁטִּ֗ים וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ עַד־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן ה֖וּא וְכָל־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיָּלִ֥נוּ שָׁ֖ם טֶ֥רֶם יַעֲבֹֽרוּ׃
וַתִּכְבַּ֧ד יַד־ יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־ הָאַשְׁדּוֹדִ֖ים וַיְשִּׁמֵּ֑ם וַיַּ֤ךְ אֹתָם֙ בעפלים בַּטְחֹרִ֔ים אֶת־ אַשְׁדּ֖וֹד וְאֶת־ גְּבוּלֶֽיהָ׃
וְלָמָ֤ה הֶֽעֱלִיתֻ֙נוּ֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם לְהָבִ֣יא אֹתָ֔נוּ אֶל־ הַמָּק֥וֹם הָרָ֖ע הַזֶּ֑ה לֹ֣א ׀ מְק֣וֹם זֶ֗רַע וּתְאֵנָ֤ה וְגֶ֙פֶן֙ וְרִמּ֔וֹן וּמַ֥יִם אַ֖יִן לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃
וַֽיְהִי֙ כִּרְאוֹתָ֔ם כִּֽי־ רַ֥ב הַכֶּ֖סֶף בָּֽאָר֑וֹן וַיַּ֨עַל סֹפֵ֤ר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וְהַכֹּהֵ֣ן הַגָּד֔וֹל וַיָּצֻ֙רוּ֙ וַיִּמְנ֔וּ אֶת־ הַכֶּ֖סֶף הַנִּמְצָ֥א בֵית־ יְהוָֽה׃
וַיֵּשְׁב֗וּ וַיֹּאכְל֧וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֛ם יַחְדָּ֖ו וַיִּשְׁתּ֑וּ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר אֲבִ֤י הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙ אֶל־ הָאִ֔ישׁ הֽוֹאֶל־ נָ֥א וְלִ֖ין וְיִטַ֥ב לִבֶּֽךָ׃
וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע פַּשְׁחוּר֙ בֶּן־ אִמֵּ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְהֽוּא־ פָקִ֥יד נָגִ֖יד בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה אֶֽת־ יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ נִבָּ֖א אֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
וַיְחַ֥ל יְהוֹאָחָ֖ז אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע אֵלָיו֙ יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֤י רָאָה֙ אֶת־ לַ֣חַץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּֽי־ לָחַ֥ץ אֹתָ֖ם מֶ֥לֶךְ אֲרָֽם׃
כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ שָׁמַ֙עְתָּ֙ בְּק֣וֹל יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹֽא־ עָשִׂ֥יתָ חֲרוֹן־ אַפּ֖וֹ בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק עַל־ כֵּן֙ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה עָשָֽׂה־ לְךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
וְנָתַתִּ֤י שָׁלוֹם֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ וּשְׁכַבְתֶּ֖ם וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֞י חַיָּ֤ה רָעָה֙ מִן־ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְחֶ֖רֶב לֹא־ תַעֲבֹ֥ר בְּאַרְצְכֶֽם׃
וַיִּקַּ֨ח אָחָ֜ז אֶת־ הַכֶּ֣סֶף וְאֶת־ הַזָּהָ֗ב הַנִּמְצָא֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה וּבְאֹֽצְר֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח לְמֶֽלֶךְ־ אַשּׁ֖וּר שֹֽׁחַד׃
וָאֹמַ֤ר אֶל־ בְּנֵיהֶם֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר בְּחוּקֵּ֤י אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ אַל־ תֵּלֵ֔כוּ וְאֶת־ מִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֖ם אַל־ תִּשְׁמֹ֑רוּ וּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם אַל־ תִּטַּמָּֽאוּ׃
וְכָל־ הָעָם֩ רֹאִ֨ים אֶת־ הַקּוֹלֹ֜ת וְאֶת־ הַלַּפִּידִ֗ם וְאֵת֙ ק֣וֹל הַשֹּׁפָ֔ר וְאֶת־ הָהָ֖ר עָשֵׁ֑ן וַיַּ֤רְא הָעָם֙ וַיָּנֻ֔עוּ וַיּֽ͏ַעַמְד֖וּ מֵֽרָחֹֽק׃
וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ זַעְמִ֔י בְּאֵ֥שׁ עֶבְרָתִ֖י אָפִ֣יחַ עָלָ֑יִךְ וּנְתַתִּ֗יךְ בְּיַד֙ אֲנָשִׁ֣ים בֹּֽעֲרִ֔ים חָרָשֵׁ֖י מַשְׁחִֽית׃
וַיּוֹשַׁע֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֶת־ יְחִזְקִיָּ֜הוּ וְאֵ֣ת ׀ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם מִיַּ֛ד סַנְחֵרִ֥יב מֶֽלֶךְ־ אַשּׁ֖וּר וּמִיַּד־ כֹּ֑ל וַֽיְנַהֲלֵ֖ם מִסָּבִֽיב׃
Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?
And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.
And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
vavraajaa siim anadatiir adabdhaa divo yahviir avasaanaa anagnaaH
praadaaH pitRbhyaH svadhayaa te akSann addhi tvaM deva prayataa haviiMSi
yamiSThaasaH saarathayo ya indra te na tvaa ketaa aa dabhnuvanti bhuurNayaH
saudhanvanaa ashvaad ashvam atakSata yuktvaa ratham upa devaaM+ ayaatana
dyaavaa ha kSaamaa prathame Rtenaabhishraave bhavataH satyavaacaa
pataMgo vaacam manasaa bibharti taaM gandharvo\ .avadad garbhe antaH
yas tvad dhotaa puurvo agne yajiiyaan dvitaa ca sattaa svadhayaa ca shambhuH
aa gaa aajad ushanaa kaavyaH sacaa yamasya jaatam amRtaM yajaamahe
raajaanaa kSatram ahRNiiyamaanaa sahasrasthuuNam bibhRthaH saha dvau
prendraagnibhyaaM suvacasyaam iyarmi sindhaav iva prerayaM naavam arkaiH
yad dha dyaavaapRthivii aaviveshiir athaabhavaH puurvyaH kaarudhaayaaH
aa yasmin gaavaH suhutaada uudhani muurdha ~n chriiNanty agriyaM variimabhiH
bhadraa vastraa samanyaaaa\ vasaano mahaan kavir nivacanaani shaMsan
aa vaaM raajaanaav adhvare vavRtyaaM havyebhir indraavaruNaa namobhiH
traataa no bodhi dadRshaana aapir abhikhyaataa marDitaa somyaanaam
οὐδὲν δὲ συγκεκαλυμμένον ἐστὶν ὃ οὐκ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται, καὶ κρυπτὸν ὃ οὐ γνωσθήσεται.
λέγοντες· Εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός, εἰπὸν ἡμῖν. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς· Ἐὰν ὑμῖν εἴπω οὐ μὴ πιστεύσητε·
ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν ἀπελθεῖν· δότε αὐτοῖς ὑμεῖς φαγεῖν.
ὁ γὰρ ἐνεργήσας Πέτρῳ εἰς ἀποστολὴν τῆς περιτομῆς ἐνήργησεν καὶ ἐμοὶ εἰς τὰ ἔθνη,
الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ
