וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה גָד֗וֹל לְכָל־ שָׂרָיו֙ וַעֲבָדָ֔יו אֵ֖ת מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה אֶסְתֵּ֑ר וַהֲנָחָ֤ה לַמְּדִינוֹת֙ עָשָׂ֔ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן מַשְׂאֵ֖ת כְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
דִּרְשׁ֨וּ מֵֽעַל־ סֵ֤פֶר יְהוָה֙ וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ אַחַ֤ת מֵהֵ֙נָּה֙ לֹ֣א נֶעְדָּ֔רָה אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ לֹ֣א פָקָ֑דוּ כִּֽי־ פִי֙ ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔ה וְרוּח֖וֹ ה֥וּא קִבְּצָֽן׃
וּלְגֻבְרִ֤ין גִּבָּֽרֵי־ חַ֙יִל֙ דִּ֣י בְחַיְלֵ֔הּ אֲמַר֙ לְכַפָּתָ֔ה לְשַׁדְרַ֥ךְ מֵישַׁ֖ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְג֑וֹ לְמִרְמֵ֕א לְאַתּ֥וּן נוּרָ֖א יָקִֽדְתָּֽא׃
פֶּ֣ה אֶל־ פֶּ֞ה אֲדַבֶּר־ בּ֗וֹ וּמַרְאֶה֙ וְלֹ֣א בְחִידֹ֔ת וּתְמֻנַ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה יַבִּ֑יט וּמַדּ֙וּעַ֙ לֹ֣א יְרֵאתֶ֔ם לְדַבֵּ֖ר בְּעַבְדִּ֥י בְמֹשֶֽׁה׃
וְהִנֵּה־ ה֡וּא שָׂם֩ עֲלִילֹ֨ת דְּבָרִ֜ים לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹֽא־ מָצָ֤אתִי לְבִתְּךָ֙ בְּתוּלִ֔ים וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּתוּלֵ֣י בִתִּ֑י וּפֽ͏ָרְשׂוּ֙ הַשִּׂמְלָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִֽיר׃
כִּ֤י תשמחי תִשְׂמְחוּ֙ כִּ֣י תעלזי תַֽעֲלְז֔וּ שֹׁסֵ֖י נַחֲלָתִ֑י כִּ֤י תפושי תָפ֙וּשׁוּ֙ כְּעֶגְלָ֣ה דָשָׁ֔ה ותצהלי וְתִצְהֲל֖וּ כָּאֲבִּרִֽים׃
וּבִימֵ֣י שָׁא֗וּל עָשׂ֤וּ מִלְחָמָה֙ עִם־ הַֽהַגְרִאִ֔ים וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ בְּיָדָ֑ם וַיֵּשְׁבוּ֙ בְּאָ֣הֳלֵיהֶ֔ם עַֽל־ כָּל־ פְּנֵ֖י מִזְרָ֥ח לַגִּלְעָֽד׃
וְאֵ֣לֶּה הַמְּלָכִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מָלְכוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אֱד֔וֹם לִפְנֵ֥י מְלָךְ־ מֶ֖לֶךְ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בֶּ֚לַע בֶּן־ בְּע֔וֹר וְשֵׁ֥ם עִיר֖וֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃
וַיָּ֧שֶׂם אֶת־ הַשְּׁפָח֛וֹת וְאֶת־ יַלְדֵיהֶ֖ן רִֽאשֹׁנָ֑ה וְאֶת־ לֵאָ֤ה וִֽילָדֶ֙יהָ֙ אַחֲרֹנִ֔ים וְאֶת־ רָחֵ֥ל וְאֶת־ יוֹסֵ֖ף אַחֲרֹנִֽים׃
אַל־ נָ֨א תָמֻ֤שׁ מִזֶּה֙ עַד־ בֹּאִ֣י אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְהֹֽצֵאתִי֙ אֶת־ מִנְחָתִ֔י וְהִנַּחְתִּ֖י לְפָנֶ֑יךָ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר אָנֹכִ֥י אֵשֵׁ֖ב עַ֥ד שׁוּבֶֽךָ׃
וַיִּקְרְא֨וּ בְקוֹל־ גָּד֜וֹל יְהוּדִ֗ית עַל־ עַ֤ם יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־ הַֽחוֹמָ֔ה לְיָֽרְאָ֖ם וּֽלְבַהֲלָ֑ם לְמַ֖עַן יִלְכְּד֥וּ אֶת־ הָעִֽיר׃
וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֮ שְׁתֵּ֣י טַבְּעֹ֣ת זָהָב֒ וַֽיִּתְּנֻ֡ם עַל־ שְׁתֵּי֩ כִתְפֹ֨ת הָאֵפֹ֤ד מִלְמַ֙טָּה֙ מִמּ֣וּל פָּנָ֔יו לְעֻמַּ֖ת מֶחְבַּרְתּ֑וֹ מִמַּ֕עַל לְחֵ֖שֶׁב הָאֵפֹֽד׃
וְלָקַ֧ח הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מַ֥יִם קְדֹשִׁ֖ים בִּכְלִי־ חָ֑רֶשׂ וּמִן־ הֶֽעָפָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִהְיֶה֙ בְּקַרְקַ֣ע הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יִקַּ֥ח הַכֹּהֵ֖ן וְנָתַ֥ן אֶל־ הַמָּֽיִם׃
מִבְּכִ֨י יַעְזֵ֤ר אֶבְכֶּה־ לָּךְ֙ הַגֶּ֣פֶן שִׂבְמָ֔ה נְטִֽישֹׁתַ֙יִךְ֙ עָ֣בְרוּ יָ֔ם עַ֛ד יָ֥ם יַעְזֵ֖ר נָגָ֑עוּ עַל־ קֵיצֵ֥ךְ וְעַל־ בְּצִירֵ֖ךְ שֹׁדֵ֥ד נָפָֽל׃
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;
Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Ephraim.
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

Πᾶς ὁ ποιῶν τὴν ἁμαρτίαν καὶ τὴν ἀνομίαν ποιεῖ, καὶ ἡ ἁμαρτία ἐστὶν ἡ ἀνομία.
ἤθελον δὲ παρεῖναι πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἄρτι, καὶ ἀλλάξαι τὴν φωνήν μου, ὅτι ἀποροῦμαι ἐν ὑμῖν.
⸂ἠκολούθει δὲ⸃ αὐτῷ ὄχλος πολύς, ὅτι ⸀ἐθεώρουν τὰ σημεῖα ἃ ἐποίει ἐπὶ τῶν ἀσθενούντων.
ὃς ⸀γὰρ ἂν ποιήσῃ τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ, οὗτος ἀδελφός μου καὶ ⸀ἀδελφὴ καὶ μήτηρ ἐστίν.
ἕνεκα τούτων ⸂με Ἰουδαῖοι⸃ ⸀συλλαβόμενοι ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἐπειρῶντο διαχειρίσασθαι.
Ἤκουον δὲ ταῦτα ⸀πάντα οἱ Φαρισαῖοι φιλάργυροι ὑπάρχοντες, καὶ ἐξεμυκτήριζον αὐτόν.
لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيهِمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
إِنْ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَؤُلَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ
