וַיְהִ֛י בְּעַשְׁתֵּֽי־ עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־ יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
וַיְהִ֗י כִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ וַיִּקְרַ֖ע אֶת־ בְּגָדָ֑יו וַיִּתְכַּ֣ס בַּשָּׂ֔ק וַיָּבֹ֖א בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃
וַיִּשְׁכַּב֙ וַיִּישַׁ֔ן תַּ֖חַת רֹ֣תֶם אֶחָ֑ד וְהִנֵּֽה־ זֶ֤ה מַלְאָךְ֙ נֹגֵ֣עַ בּ֔וֹ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ ק֥וּם אֱכֽוֹל׃
וְעַתָּ֗ה שְׁאֵלָ֤ה אַחַת֙ אָֽנֹכִי֙ שֹׁאֵ֣ל מֵֽאִתָּ֔ךְ אַל־ תָּשִׁ֖בִי אֶת־ פָּנָ֑י וַתֹּ֥אמֶר אֵלָ֖יו דַּבֵּֽר׃
וַיָּבֵ֤א יוֹסֵף֙ אֶת־ יַֽעֲקֹ֣ב אָבִ֔יו וַיַּֽעֲמִדֵ֖הוּ לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וַיְבָ֥רֶךְ יַעֲקֹ֖ב אֶת־ פַּרְעֹֽה׃
וְהִקְטִירָ֥ם הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה לֶ֤חֶם אִשֶּׁה֙ לְרֵ֣יחַ נִיחֹ֔חַ כָּל־ חֵ֖לֶב לַיהוָֽה׃
וַיְהִ֣י יְשַׁעְיָ֔הוּ לֹ֣א יָצָ֔א העיר חָצֵ֖ר הַתִּֽיכֹנָ֑ה וּדְבַר־ יְהוָ֔ה הָיָ֥ה אֵלָ֖יו לֵאמֹֽר׃
אַל־ תִּֽטַּמְּא֖וּ בְּכָל־ אֵ֑לֶּה כִּ֤י בְכָל־ אֵ֙לֶּה֙ נִטְמְא֣וּ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־ אֲנִ֥י מְשַׁלֵּ֖חַ מִפְּנֵיכֶֽם׃
The letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly read before me.
Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.
There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

tam arkebhis taM saamabhis taM gaayatraish carSaNayaH
etam u tyam madacyutaM sahasradhaaraM vRSabhaM divo duhuH
aryamaa mitro varuNaH parijmaa tvacam pR~ncanty uparasya yonau
ni veveti palito duuta aasv antar mahaaMsh carati rocanena
yebhyo madhu pradhaavati taaMsh cid evaapi gachataat
anu te daayi maha indriyaaya satraa te vishvam anu vRtrahatye
ime hi te kaaravo vaavashur dhiyaa vipraaso medhasaataye
na yaH sampRche na punar haviitave na saMvaadaaya ramate
