וְיֹתֵ֕ר שֶׁהָיָ֥ה קֹהֶ֖לֶת חָכָ֑ם ע֗וֹד לִמַּד־ דַּ֙עַת֙ אֶת־ הָעָ֔ם וְאִזֵּ֣ן וְחִקֵּ֔ר תִּקֵּ֖ן מְשָׁלִ֥ים הַרְבֵּֽה׃
בֶּן־ אָדָ֕ם הִנָּבֵא֙ וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֑י אֱמֹ֕ר חֶ֥רֶב חֶ֛רֶב הוּחַ֖דָּה וְגַם־ מְרוּטָֽה׃
וּבָעִתִּ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם אֵ֥ין שָׁל֖וֹם לַיּוֹצֵ֣א וְלַבָּ֑א כִּ֚י מְהוּמֹ֣ת רַבּ֔וֹת עַ֥ל כָּל־ יוֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
וָאֹמַ֗ר שִׁמְעוּ־ נָא֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב וּקְצִינֵ֖י בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֲל֣וֹא לָכֶ֔ם לָדַ֖עַת אֶת־ הַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
וְיֽוֹחָנָן֙ בֶּן־ קָרֵ֔חַ וְכָל־ שָׂרֵ֥י הַחֲיָלִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֑ה בָּ֥אוּ אֶל־ גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ הַמִּצְפָּֽתָה׃
וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ קְדֹשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י קָד֖וֹשׁ אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וָאַבְדִּ֥ל אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִן־ הֽ͏ָעַמִּ֖ים לִהְי֥וֹת לִֽי׃
וַֽיְלַמְּדוּ֙ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה וְעִ֨מָּהֶ֔ם סֵ֖פֶר תּוֹרַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וַיָּסֹ֙בּוּ֙ בְּכָל־ עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וַֽיְלַמְּד֖וּ בָּעָֽם׃
וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח שָׁא֔וּל אֶל־ יִשַׁ֖י לֵאמֹ֑ר יַעֲמָד־ נָ֤א דָוִד֙ לְפָנַ֔י כִּֽי־ מָ֥צָא חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינָֽי׃
וַיַּ֧עַן הַשָּׂטָ֛ן אֶת־ יְהוָ֖ה וַיֹּאמַ֑ר ע֣וֹר בְּעַד־ ע֗וֹר וְכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָאִ֔ישׁ יִתֵּ֖ן בְּעַ֥ד נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
צַר־ לִ֣י עָלֶ֗יךָ אָחִי֙ יְה֣וֹנָתָ֔ן נָעַ֥מְתָּ לִּ֖י מְאֹ֑ד נִפְלְאַ֤תָה אַהֲבָֽתְךָ֙ לִ֔י מֵאַהֲבַ֖ת נָשִֽׁים׃
And Ahimaaz begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Johanan,
And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

kaNvaaso vaaM sutasomaa abhidyavo yuvaaM havante ashvinaa
atharvavaj jyotiSaa daivyena satyaM dhuurvantam acitaM ny o\Sa
taM tvaa duutaM kRNmahe yashastamaM devaaM+ aa viitaye vaha
upa yam eti yuvatiH sudakSaM doSaa vastor haviSmatii ghRtaacii
suparNo a~Nga savitur garutmaan puurvo jaataH sa u asyaanu dharma
tasyed arvanto raMhayanta aashavas tasya dyumnitamaM yashaH
pra yaaH sisrate suuryasya rashmibhir jyotir bharantiir uSaso vyu\STiSu
vajrash ca yad bhavatho anapacyutaa samatsv anapacyutaa
sute cit tvaapsu madaamo andhasaa shriiNanto gobhir uttaram
te vaayave samanaso vi tasthur vishven naraH svapatyaani cakruH
sacanaavantaM sumatibhiH sobhare vidveSasam anehasam
aryamaNaM na mandraM sRprabhojasaM viSNuM na stuSa aadishe
μηδʼ ὡς κατακυριεύοντες τῶν κλήρων ἀλλὰ τύποι γινόμενοι τοῦ ποιμνίου·
ἐγὼ τοίνυν οὕτως τρέχω ὡς οὐκ ἀδήλως, οὕτως πυκτεύω ὡς οὐκ ἀέρα δέρων·
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ
إِنَّا لَنَنْصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ
