וְגַם־ עֹלָ֨ה לָרֹ֜ב בְּחֶלְבֵ֧י הַשְּׁלָמִ֛ים וּבַנְּסָכִ֖ים לָעֹלָ֑ה וַתִּכּ֖וֹן עֲבוֹדַ֥ת בֵּית־ יְהוָֽה׃
וְכָ֨ל־ הָאָ֔רֶץ מְבַקְשִׁ֖ים אֶת־ פְּנֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה לִשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־ חָכְמָת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁר־ נָתַ֥ן אֱלֹהִ֖ים בְּלִבּֽוֹ׃
To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
