שָׁ֘לֵ֤ו הָיִ֨יתִי ׀ וַֽיְפַרְפְּרֵ֗נִי וְאָחַ֣ז בְּ֭עָרְפִּי וַֽיְפַצְפְּצֵ֑נִי וַיְקִימֵ֥נִי ל֝֗וֹ לְמַטָּרָֽה׃
וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ הָֽרִמֹּנִ֔ים תִּשְׁעִ֥ים וְשִׁשָּׁ֖ה ר֑וּחָה כָּל־ הָרִמּוֹנִ֥ים מֵאָ֛ה עַל־ הַשְּׂבָכָ֖ה סָבִֽיב׃
וַתִּסָּגֵ֥ר מִרְיָ֛ם מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים וְהָעָם֙ לֹ֣א נָסַ֔ע עַד־ הֵאָסֵ֖ף מִרְיָֽם׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶֽל־ יַעֲקֹ֔ב שׁ֛וּב אֶל־ אֶ֥רֶץ אֲבוֹתֶ֖יךָ וּלְמוֹלַדְתֶּ֑ךָ וְאֶֽהְיֶ֖ה עִמָּֽךְ׃
מִן־ הָאָ֥רֶץ הַהִ֖וא יָצָ֣א אַשּׁ֑וּר וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ אֶת־ נִ֣ינְוֵ֔ה וְאֶת־ רְחֹבֹ֥ת עִ֖יר וְאֶת־ כָּֽלַח׃
וְיִטַּע֙ אָהֳלֶ֣י אַפַּדְנ֔וֹ בֵּ֥ין יַמִּ֖ים לְהַר־ צְבִי־ קֹ֑דֶשׁ וּבָא֙ עַד־ קִצּ֔וֹ וְאֵ֥ין עוֹזֵ֖ר לֽוֹ׃
בַּיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵם֙ וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא אַצְמִ֥יחַ לְדָוִ֖ד צֶ֣מַח צְדָקָ֑ה וְעָשָׂ֛ה מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
וַיְהִ֕י כְּדַבְּרָ֥הּ אֶל־ יוֹסֵ֖ף י֣וֹם ׀ י֑וֹם וְלֹא־ שָׁמַ֥ע אֵלֶ֛יהָ לִשְׁכַּ֥ב אֶצְלָ֖הּ לִהְי֥וֹת עִמָּֽהּ׃
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

uvocitha hi maghavan deSNam maho arbhasya vasuno vibhaage
citreva praty adarshy aayaty a\ntar dashasu baahuSu
imaa vo havyaa maruto rare hi kam mo Sv a\nyatra gantana
yathaa kalaaM yathaa shaphaM yatha RNaM saMnayaamasi
yaa vaaM kashaa madhumaty ashvinaa suunRtaavatii
aayantaaram mahi sthiram pRtanaasu shravojitam
vi manyum indra vRtrahann amitrasyaabhidaasataH
aa mandrair indra haribhir yaahi mayuuraromabhiH
kadaa ta indra girvaNa stotaa bhavaati shaMtamaH
yu~njanti bradhnam aruSaM carantam pari tasthuSaH
dyumnii vaaM stomo ashvinaa krivir na seka aa gatam
saMhotraM sma puraa naarii samanaM vaava gachati
joSaa savitar yasya te haraH shataM savaaM+ arhati
prati shrutaaya vo dhRSat tuurNaashaM na girer adhi
οὐ γὰρ ἔχομεν ὧδε μένουσαν πόλιν, ἀλλὰ τὴν μέλλουσαν ἐπιζητοῦμεν·
⸀οὐκέτι ἀφίετε αὐτὸν οὐδὲν ποιῆσαι τῷ ⸀πατρὶ ἢ τῇ ⸀μητρί,
τί ἄπιστον κρίνεται παρʼ ὑμῖν εἰ ὁ θεὸς νεκροὺς ἐγείρει;
πολλοὶ δὲ ἔσονται πρῶτοι ἔσχατοι καὶ ⸀οἱ ἔσχατοι πρῶτοι.
