כִּ֠י לֹ֣א אֶחְמ֥וֹל ע֛וֹד עַל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ נְאֻם־ יְהוָ֑ה וְהִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י מַמְצִ֣יא אֶת־ הָאָדָ֗ם אִ֤ישׁ בְּיַד־ רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ וּבְיַ֣ד מַלְכּ֔וֹ וְכִתְּתוּ֙ אֶת־ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹ֥א אַצִּ֖יל מִיָּדָֽם׃
כִּי֩ מֵֽאַהֲבַ֨ת יְהוָ֜ה אֶתְכֶ֗ם וּמִשָּׁמְר֤ו אֶת־ הַשְּׁבֻעָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִשְׁבַּע֙ לַאֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם הוֹצִ֧יא יְהוָ֛ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּיָ֣ד חֲזָקָ֑ה וַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֙ מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֔ים מִיַּ֖ד פַּרְעֹ֥ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
וְיֶ֨תֶר דִּבְרֵ֤י יוֹאָשׁ֙ וְכָל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וּגְב֣וּרָת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִלְחַ֔ם עִ֖ם אֲמַצְיָ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָ֑ה הֲלֽוֹא־ הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
וְדִבְרֵ֣י רְחַבְעָ֗ם הָרִאשֹׁנִים֙ וְהָאֲ֣חַרוֹנִ֔ים הֲלֹא־ הֵ֨ם כְּתוּבִ֜ים בְּדִבְרֵ֨י שְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה הַנָּבִ֛יא וְעִדּ֥וֹ הַחֹזֶ֖ה לְהִתְיַחֵ֑שׂ וּמִלְחֲמ֧וֹת רְחַבְעָ֛ם וְיָרָבְעָ֖ם כָּל־ הַיָּמִֽים׃
That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.

διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἀρθήσεται ἀφʼ ὑμῶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ δοθήσεται ἔθνει ποιοῦντι τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῆς.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِنْ تَسْأَلُوا عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ الْقُرْآنُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهَا وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
