Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

prehi prehi pathibhiH puurvyebhir yatraa naH puurve pitaraH pareyuH

ye gomantaM vaajavantaM suviiraM rayiM dhattha vasumantam purukSum

Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

codayataM suunRtaaH pinvataM dhiya ut puraMdhiir iirayataM tad ushmasi

As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.

maghair maghoni sushriyo daamanvantaH suraatayaH sujaate ashvasuunRte

Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.

yuvaM rebham pariSuuter uruSyatho himena gharmam paritaptam atraye

ut takSataM svarya\m parvatebhyo yena rakSo vaavRdhaanaM nijuurvathaH

suyantubhiH sarvashaasair abhiishubhiH krivir naamaani pravaNe muSaayati

Rtasya yoge vi Syadhvam uudhaH shruSTiivariir bhuutanaasmabhyam aapaH

All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.

וְהִנֵּ֣ה קַמְתֶּ֗ם תַּ֚חַת אֲבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם תַּרְבּ֖וּת אֲנָשִׁ֣ים חַטָּאִ֑ים לִסְפּ֣וֹת ע֗וֹד עַ֛ל חֲר֥וֹן אַף־ יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

τότε λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Πιλᾶτος· Οὐκ ἀκούεις πόσα σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν;

רְא֣וּ ׀ עַתָּ֗ה כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י אֲנִי֙ ה֔וּא וְאֵ֥ין אֱלֹהִ֖ים עִמָּדִ֑י אֲנִ֧י אָמִ֣ית וַאֲחַיֶּ֗ה מָחַ֙צְתִּי֙ וַאֲנִ֣י אֶרְפָּ֔א וְאֵ֥ין מִיָּדִ֖י מַצִּֽיל׃

כֹּה־ אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֗ה כִּֽי־ יִתֵּ֨ן הַנָּשִׂ֤יא מַתָּנָה֙ לְאִ֣ישׁ מִבָּנָ֔יו נַחֲלָת֥וֹ הִ֖יא לְבָנָ֣יו תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה אֲחֻזָּתָ֥ם הִ֖יא בְּנַחֲלָֽה׃

וְהָרֹ֤אשׁ אֶחָד֙ יִפְנֶ֔ה דֶּ֖רֶךְ בֵּ֣ית חֹר֑וֹן וְהָרֹ֨אשׁ אֶחָ֤ד יִפְנֶה֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַגְּב֔וּל הַנִּשְׁקָ֛ף עַל־ גֵּ֥י הַצְּבֹעִ֖ים הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃

וַיִּהְי֥וּ יְרֵאִ֖ים אֶת־ יְהוָ֑ה וַיַּעֲשׂ֨וּ לָהֶ֤ם מִקְצוֹתָם֙ כֹּהֲנֵ֣י בָמ֔וֹת וַיִּהְי֛וּ עֹשִׂ֥ים לָהֶ֖ם בְּבֵ֥ית הַבָּמֽוֹת׃

בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא גִּדַּ֤ל יְהוָה֙ אֶת־ יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ בְּעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּֽרְא֣וּ אֹת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יָרְא֥וּ אֶת־ מֹשֶׁ֖ה כָּל־ יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃

וַעֲבַדְתֶּם־ שָׁ֣ם אֱלֹהִ֔ים מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה יְדֵ֣י אָדָ֑ם עֵ֣ץ וָאֶ֔בֶן אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ יִרְאוּן֙ וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁמְע֔וּן וְלֹ֥א יֹֽאכְל֖וּן וְלֹ֥א יְרִיחֻֽן׃
