For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.

kim aad amatraM sakhyaM sakhibhyaH kadaa nu te bhraatram pra bravaama

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

vishaaM kaviM vishpatiM shashvatiinaaM nitoshanaM vRSabhaM carSaNiinaam

Of the sons of Nebo; Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, and Joel, Benaiah.

uruvyacasaa mahinii asashcataa pitaa maataa ca bhuvanaani rakSataH

pra skambhadeSNaa anavabhraraadhaso .alaatRNaaso vidatheSu suSTutaaH

But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

achaa sindhum maatRtamaam ayaasaM vipaasham urviiM subhagaam aganma

Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.

yadaa cariSNuu mithunaav abhuutaam aad it praapashyan bhuvanaani vishvaa

ebhir bhava sumanaa agne arkair imaan spRsha manmabhiH shuura vaajaan

poSaM rayiiNaam ariSTiM tanuunaaM svaadmaanaM vaacaH sudinatvam ahnaam

These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

somam bharad daadRhaaNo devaavaan divo amuSmaad uttaraad aadaaya

tam paakena manasaapashyam antitas tam maataa reLhi sa u reLhi maataram

saMraraaNe rodasii vishvashambhuvaa saniM vaajaM rayim asme sam invataam
