Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

adyaa no deva savitaH prajaavat saaviiH saubhagam

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

vaneSu vy a\ntarikSaM tataana vaajam arvatsu paya usriyaasu

pra NaH puurvasmai suvitaaya vocata makSuu sumnaaya navyase

For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid.

traayantaam iha devaas traayataam marutaaM gaNaH

yo ashvebhir vahate vasta usraas triH sapta saptatiinaam

dhruvaa dyaur dhruvaa pRthivii dhruvaasaH parvataa ime

apo yena sukSitaye taremaadha svam oko abhi vaH syaama

matiinaaM ca saadhanaM vipraaNaaM caadhavam

vaamasya hi pracetasa iishaanaasho rishaadasaH

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
